South Seminole Hospital - December 2020

As Green Air enters our 10th year of business, we proudly recognize two healthcare facilities out of over 135 hospitals in which Green Air cleans AHU’s. Each year 12 hospitals are nominated, and two hospitals are selected for the Green Air Hospital Sustainability Award. The first winner this year, was an obvious selection.

This hospital in central Florida has many programs already in place. Recycling, low water use fixtures, VFD’s on the AHU’s. The engineering dept has done a tremendous job in finding and implementing energy saving programs. A couple of years ago, one of Green Air’s hospital clients referred this hospital to use our Preventive Maintenance program for cleaning their AHU’s. Did Green Air find the AHU’s to be in dire straits? On the contrary, these units looked very clean. Because of the robust equipment and diligence in cleaning AHU’s, Green Air was able to produce great results.

It is with honor that we presented on December 7, 2020 South Seminole Hospital in Longwood, Florida the Green Air 2020 Hospital Sustainability Award. Mr. Richard Erle, Director of Engineering with South Seminole was able to secure more than $13,000.00 in energy rebates from Duke Energy because of his sustainable efforts at his facility.
